The primary purpose which Pi Gamma Mu, and indeed all honor societies, seeks to accomplish on your campus is to foster good scholarship. We do this in a number of ways.

Pi Gamma Mu stresses scholarship through its guest lectureship program, by publishing articles by students and faculty in International Social Science Review, by granting scholarships for graduate study, by offering opportunities for students to present papers at regional meetings and triennial conventions, and in many other ways.
